I don't tooth smile often, but when I do, I rabbit tooth smile.
I don’t tooth smile often, but when I do, I rabbit tooth smile.

I am a learner, an entertainer, and an adventurer.

I have worked as a barista for 14 years, and in that time, I have built wonderful relationships with customers and coworkers alike. At 15 years old, I didn’t know how to interact with people; and it wasn’t until about 3 months into the job when I realized how awesome it was to let people in on my life so that I could be let into theirs. I have enjoyed staying active in the coffee culture, because as soon as you master it, it becomes something different, and needs to be mastered all over again.

In May of 2016, I attended school at Colorado Media School, beginning an adventure in broadcasting. Even just a couple months in, I grasped an abundance of skills, working proficiently in Radio DJ, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro. I hosted and produced a show called “Walking Through The Grass”, a weekly online radio show that was aired on Mile High Underground. The show featured local Colorado talent, focusing in the genres of Bluegrass, Blues, and Soft Rock (finding local talent in all of these genres was a fulfilling adventure within itself). I enjoyed giving the audience tidbits of information throughout the show through trivia or life experiences of my own!

I was born on an Army base in Oklahoma, and after living there for a year (waiting for my brother to be born), my family moved back to Colorado and that is where I did most of my growing up. My dad was the one in the Army, and my mom stayed at home with my brother and me until we could better take care of ourselves. At the age of seven I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up, and that was a “professional grocery store bagger”. Since then, the job changed, but the intentions stayed the same; I wanted to help people, and do so as creatively as possible. Becoming a barista was destiny for me, as I frequented Serranos Coffee Company since it opened in 1995, and knew then that it was something I wanted to be a part of. Over the last decade I realized how much I enjoy contributing to individuals, and now I want to increase the size of my audience. I will always have a passion for coffee and serving the elixir of life; and now I look forward to creating more relations and contributing to even more people through my passion in broadcasting.
